Mike's Place Golf Tournament - this is one of our biggest fundraisers with all proceeds going directly to Chatham-Kent Special Olympics.  Please save the date if you are interested in golfing, or would like to donate a prize or money to this event.  More information to come!!

August 10, 2024 - Torch Ride

Save the date.  $20 driver, $20 per passenger, $10 for poker sheet.
Begin at Bob's Motorsports (Chatham) and end at Wambo at 827 Dufferin Ave, Wallaceburg.

September 8, 2024 - Mike Currie Memorial Run

The Special Olympics School Championship Games of 2024 are being held in Chatham-Kent this year!!

This is the first time since 1997 that any Special Olympics Games have been held in Chatham-Kent.  There will be 5 sports played.  Being Bocce, Basketball, Track and Field, Floor Ball and Soccer.  Basketball and Bocce will be held at Ridgetown Campus for the University of Guelph, Track and Field will be held at Chatham-Kent Secondary School, and Soccer and Floor Ball will be played at the Chatham Thames Campus.

Opening and Closing Ceremonies will both be held and the Bradley Centre in Chatham.  A big shout out to all the people and businesses helping to make this a great success we can't wait.

We are hoping that this event will bring more attention to Chatham-Kent Special Olympics and that we will be able to build off the work of the games to bring in more participants and coaches.  We are hoping to start up some new sports both for youth and adults!!

We are currently looking for coaches for basketball, soccer, floor ball, track and field, bocce.  There are also other sports that can be brought in if there is enough interest.  Some communities have started corn hole toss, we are up for starting new things if they are listed as Special Olympic events.  We currently offer swimming (we have a youth and adult league), 5 and 10 pin bowling, and curling.  If there is any interest in becoming a coach please reach out the the locall Chatham-Kent Coordinator.  Velma Bachtold at 519-359-7781 or at Chatham-Kent Special Olympics .
